[Beginning to scatter] Shimabara Castle Plum Blossom Bloom Information

The plum blossoms of Shimabara Castle, approximately 300 trees planted within the main enclosure of the castle, have begun to scatter after passing their peak viewing period.

Currently, the plum blossoms have begun to scatter.

There are about 300 plum trees planted in the main circle of Shimabara Castle, including “Furuno Plum Garden”. There are many varieties, including Kagoshima red ume, Bungo, and Shirakaga, which bloom in red, white, and peach colors.

Visitors can enjoy ume blossoms from late January to early March, with mid-February being the best time to view them.
